O papel da atenção plena na melhoria do desempenho atlético: uma revisão crítica de estudos empíricos

Introdução: Os atletas enfrentam crescentes exigências psicológicas, tornando a preparação mental tão crucial como o treino físico.
Objectivo: Este estudo procura avaliar criticamente o papel da atenção plena na melhoria do desempenho atlético nos domínios cognitivo, emocional e de recuperação.
Metodologia: Foi realizada uma revisão sistemática e crítica da literatura em bases de dados como a Scopus, Web of Science e SAGE. Foram incluídos estudos empíricos revistos por pares, publicados entre 2019 e 2025, que analisaram o impacto da atenção plena nos atletas. Foi aplicada uma síntese temática.
Discussão: A atenção plena melhora a atenção, regula as emoções e reduz a ansiedade. Fortalece o enfrentamento do stress e proporciona clareza emocional. O seu papel na prevenção e recuperação do burnout também foi evidenciado, especialmente com intervenções personalizadas.
Conclusão: A atenção plena é uma intervenção multidimensional que melhora o desempenho, facilita a recuperação e fortalece a resiliência psicológica dos atletas. Mais pesquisas específicas para o desporto são necessárias.
