O efeito do treino de força nos níveis de IL-6 e na condição física muscular: um estudo empírico sobre adolescentes sedentários

Resumo

Introdução: O aumento global do sedentarismo entre os adolescentes urbanos aumenta os marcadores inflamatórios como a interleucina-6 (IL-6) e diminui a condição física, o que requer intervenções eficazes.

Objectivo: Este estúdio investigou os efeitos do treino de força nos níveis de IL-6 e na aptidão muscular em adolescentes varones urbanos sedentários.

Métodos: 30 adolescentes do sexo masculino (17-20 anos, 65-80 kg, 164-175 cm) participaram num grupo de controlo pré-teste-pós-teste. O grupo de tratamento participou num programa de treino de força de 8 semanas (3 sessões/semana, 80% 1RM, 8 repetições, 5 séries). Os níveis de IL-6 foram medidos através de um kit ELISA e a aptidão muscular foi avaliada através de testes de sentadillas com mancuernas. Os dados foram analisados ​​através dos testes de Wilcoxon e Mann-Whitney com o SPSS versão 25.

Resultados: O grupo de tratamento apresentou uma redução significativa da IL-6 (p=0,027, diferença de media=7,196) e uma melhoria da condição muscular (p=0,010, aumento médio=4,5). O grupo de controlo apresentou um aumento do nível de IL-6 (p=0,001, diferença de media=4,835) e uma baixa melhor condição muscular (p=0,001, diferença de media=1,6).

Discussão: O treino de força reduz eficazmente a inflamação e melhora a condição física, de acordo com investigações anteriores sobre o exercício.

Conclusão: O treino de força estruturada melhorou significativamente os níveis de IL-6 e a aptidão muscular, o que suporta o seu papel no tratamento do sedentarismo adolescente.
