A relação entre a experiência de um evento desportivo e o bem-estar psicológico: o caso de uma “Maratona de Vela”

A natureza especial dos serviços desportivos recreativos orienta o interesse da investigação contemporânea para a natureza holística da experiência do evento desportivo, enfatizando as suas relações com os factores psicossociais que contribuem para o bem-estar dos participantes. O objetivo deste estudo foi duplo: (1) analisar as dimensões da experiência do evento esportivo no contexto de uma prova de maratona de vela e (2) investigar a contribuição dos fatores da experiência do evento esportivo para o bem-estar psicológico dos participantes. participantes. O estudo foi realizado na Grécia, onde os participantes do evento preencheram o Questionário de Perfil PERMA (Pezirkianidis, Stalikas, Lakioti, & Yotsidi, 2019) e uma escala multidimensional de Experiência em Eventos Esportivos, desenvolvida especialmente para o propósito do estudo. Os resultados forneceram suporte para a natureza holística e multinível do construto experiência de evento esportivo, tal como foi definido teoricamente. A análise de regressão mostrou que o bem-estar psicológico dos participantes foi significativamente previsto pela experiência desportiva do evento, onde as dimensões do ambiente social, da marca e do ambiente de serviço do evento tiveram as contribuições mais significativas. Estes resultados mostram o valor dos eventos desportivos de carácter recreativo para contribuir para o desenvolvimento do bem-estar individual. O modelo PERMA é aceitável para medir o bem-estar percebido. As implicações teóricas e práticas destes resultados são discutidas.
