Os graus de osteoartrite não afetam a análise da marcha em mulheres de meia-idade e mais velhas. Um estudo transversal

O envelhecimento geralmente está relacionado a alterações nos sistemas periférico, nervoso central e musculoesquelético. Estas modificações estão frequentemente associadas a complicações de mobilidade. Atualmente considera-se que os parâmetros espaçotemporais da marcha (SGP) podem ser bons indicadores funcionais da gravidade da osteoartrite do joelho (OAJ). Objetivo: comparar o PEC em mulheres de meia-idade e idosas com diferentes diagnósticos radiológicos de OAJ. Métodos e materiais: Para isso, foram recrutadas noventa e nove (99) participantes do sexo feminino (idade: 61±3,0 anos; massa corporal: 72,9±13,4 kg; altura: 1,5±0,1 m; IMC: 31,2±5,7 kg/m2). um desenho transversal. Todos os participantes foram classificados de acordo com a escala radiológica de Kellgren-Lawrence (Nenhum n=15; Duvidoso n=24; Mínimo n=22; Moderado n=20 e Grave n=18). Todos os participantes realizaram um teste de caminhada de 25 m para o qual foi medido o PEC (cadência, duração da fase de apoio unipodal e comprimento da passada). Resultados: Não foram observadas diferenças em nenhuma medida do PEC (cadência, p=0,57; fase de apoio unipodal, p=0,65; e comprimento da passada, p=0,22). Conclusão: Nossos resultados mostraram que não há concordância entre o SGP e o diagnóstico radiográfico de OAJ.
