Resumo

O objetivo da pesquisa foi determinar o efeito da modificação do movimento no treinamento na proficiência dos alunos em natação. O método de pesquisa utilizou um método experimental com um desenho pré-teste-pós-teste de grupo único. A população era composta por 71 alunos. A amostra foi de até 10 alunos com técnica de amostragem intencional. A ferramenta utilizada para coleta de dados foi o Questionário de Competência de Natação (SCQ). A técnica de coleta de dados consiste em três partes: Primeiramente, o teste inicial com SCQ; Segundo, tratamento com modificação de movimento; e terceiro, o teste final com SCQ. O tratamento durou 16 sessões de treinamento, uma sessão de treinamento por semana e 120 minutos por sessão. O programa de treinamento consistiu em aquecimento, exercício e desaquecimento. Técnicas de análise de dados utilizadas, nomeadamente, teste de normalidade, teste de homogeneidade e teste de hipóteses. De acordo com o resultado do teste de amostras pareadas, obteve-se o valor Sig. (bicaudal) = 0,000, que é menor que a = 0,05. Portanto, Ho é rejeitado e Ha é aceito. A conclusão deste estudo é que o fornecimento de modificações no treinamento pode afetar significativamente a proficiência dos alunos em natação.
