Abstract

Nadie puede negar que el tenis es un deporte difícil a nivel técnico. Esta dificultad unida al desconocimiento que tienen la mayoría de los profesionales de E.F., la falta de literatura específica que trate este deporte adaptado al ámbito escolar y la gran cantidad de material necesario, nada económico, suponen un gran problema para su puesta en práctica en los actuales centros escolares. Con el objeto de facilitar y orientar la labor docente de los profesionales de la E.F., en el presente artículo se plantean los problemas que presenta el tenis para iniciantes, soluciones y progresiones a seguir, y cómo estas soluciones y progresiones pueden ser aprovechadas para su aplicación en el ámbito escolar a través del mini-tenis. Finalmente se hará una propuesta de actividades y de organización de la sesión de mini-tenis que servirán de base para el aprendizaje de los fundamentos técnicos, tácticos y reglamentarios básicos de esta disciplina deportiva.
