Introduction: Oncological fatigue is a common clinical manifestation and prevalent in 80-90% of oncological patients. He-matological toxicity is also seen as a consequence, being the one with the greatest impact and im-pairment to the patient's quality of life.
Objective: To evaluate oncological fatigue and the hematological profile in women with primary breast cancer, before and after completing a combi-ned training program (ae-robic + resistance). Methodology: Women with primary breast cancer, 27 participants in the combined training program and 16 participants in conversation circles, where body weight (BW), height, circumferences, skin folds, body mass index (BMI), waist-to-hip ratio (WHR) and body fat percentage (BWP) were assessed before and after six weeks. The Functional Assessment of Cancer Therapy Fatigue (FACT-F) questio-nnaire, validated for Portuguese, was used to assess oncological fatigue; a complete blood count exam was used for the hematological profile.
Results: It was observed that PC, MC and PercG were equally similar for the EG and CG respectively, the WHR showed a greater difference between the EG and CG (¯X = 0.81 ± 006 cm; ¯X = 0.84 ± 0.07 cm) respectively; significant de-crease in FACT-F scores and statistical difference for all immunological tests of red blood cells, hemo-globin, hematocrit, leu-kocytes, neutrophils, lym-phocytes; monocytes and platelets in the experimental group post-test.
Conclusions: A combined training program provided a reduction in oncological fatigue and may have in-creased the observed measurements of the hemato-logical profile in women with breast cancer under-going combined training (resistance + aerobic) for six weeks.
