Abstract

The objective of the research is to determine the effect of a psychopedagogical intervention on the memory of students with specific learning difficulties in the Special Education Unit of the city of Milagro, through recreational play. To do this, we work with a quantitative approach and experimental design, applying the incomplete figures and visual puzzle tests of the WISC-V and Filho's ABC to 18 male and female students between 6 and 7 years old. The study consists of the application of the tests, the development of a recreational games program and a post-test. The findings indicate a low level of 50% of students in the incomplete figures test, 61% with a high level in visual puzzle and 50% with a low level in Filho's ABC, while in the post-test the assessment was 61% level. high in incomplete figures, 89% high level in visual puzzle and 44% high level in ABC de Filho. It is concluded by comparing the medians with Wilcoxon sign that there were significant differences between the test and post-test of the incomplete figures and Filho's ABC tests, that is to say that the students improve their evaluations after the intervention with recreational games at a cognitive level, of mediate and immediate memory, logical reasoning and concentration; However, in the visual puzzle test there were no differences.
